Established in 2021, Urban Yogic Wellness and Education is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and empowering community members. Our mission is to provide a platform for individuals to take charge of their lives, facilitating transformation and promoting healthier, well-rounded lifestyles. We achieve this by integrating the 8 Limbs of Yoga, applying these timeless yogic principles to our everyday lives. Our approach encourages individuals to set attainable goals while embracing challenges that promote both mental and physical growth, guiding them to become the best version of themselves. Through a variety of educational programs, events, workshops, we make wellness accessible to all. ​ By fostering a holistic approach to wellness, we create supportive spaces for personal growth, healing, and community connection.​

(25hr-50hr) – Designed for teachers and school staff, these trainings focus on basic yoga principles, philosophy, emotional regulation, and awareness of dysregulation to support both personal well-being and classroom environments.

Continuing Education (CE) Programs

Specialized courses ranging from 2 hours to 125 hours, covering advanced teaching techniques, anatomy, philosophy, and more

Yoga Teacher Training (200hrYTT)

A comprehensive 200-hour certification program designed to equip aspiring yoga teachers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to lead impactful classes.

Scholarships for YTT Students

Financial support opportunities to make yoga education more accessible to diverse communities.

Yoga for School- Aged Kids 

Engaging 6- to 10-week programs that introduce mindfulness, movement, and breathwork to support focus, emotional balance, and overall well-being.

Somatic Sound Healing, Yoga & Breathwork

Private and public sessions that combine movement, breath, and vibrational healing techniques to support deep relaxation and emotional release.

Daily Mysore Style Classes in the DMV area

Traditional self-led Ashtanga practice offered Monday–Friday at Sun and Moon Yoga and Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at Flow Yoga Center.
